His father’s name was Damodardas Mulchand Modi, while his mother’s name was Hiraben, who died on 30 December 2022 at the age of 100.

Narendra Modi’s childhood was spent in a lot of financial struggles. The financial condition of his house was not good, due to which he used to sell tea at railway stations and bus terminals with his brothers.

After completing his college studies, he also joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. After that, he started working as a full-time worker in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
